Hussam Alkhatib

I build games that make it out of the editor.

Computer Engineering student and Unity developer focused on gameplay, mobile systems, and actually shipping. Three Android games are live; dozens more prototypes taught me what to build next.

01 / SELECTED WORK

Selected work

One project changed how I think about finishing a game. It's the one I'd point you to first.

PawDoku

Pet logic puzzles

PawDoku started as a puzzle mechanic and became my first project where I had to think about the whole product: progression, saving, live systems, monetisation, analytics, onboarding, edge cases, and publishing.

What I built

  • Puzzle rules, validation, lives and feedback
  • Progression, boosters, streaks and daily challenges
  • Local and cloud save flow, with Google Play integration
  • Ads, rewarded ads, IAP, consent and a remove-ads flow
  • Analytics, notifications, testing and Android release work

02 / SHIPPED

Also shipped

PawDoku wasn't the first thing I finished. Two smaller arcade games made it to Android before it.

OrbiX

A compact arcade game built around responsive movement, scoring, control feel, and a complete mobile release loop.

Risky Landing

A timing-focused mobile game where the real work wasn't the mechanic — it was tuning the loop until it felt finished.

Game lab

Most ideas don't need a store page. I keep prototypes because they answer smaller questions: does this movement feel good, can this mechanic carry a loop, is this worth taking further?

Not every folder is portfolio material. The point is the repetition: build, test, throw away, keep the lesson.

Beyond games

05 / EXPERIENCE

Experience

Building is the main thread. Teaching made me better at explaining it.

07 / ABOUT

About

I'm a Computer Engineering student at Jordan University of Science and Technology. I got into game development by building small Unity projects, then kept pushing the same process further: one mechanic, one system, one complete game.

Publishing changed what I pay attention to. A game isn't finished when the core mechanic works — it's finished when saving survives an edge case, the UI works on a phone, the build behaves outside the editor, and somebody else can download it without me standing next to them.

Game development is where I want to work. The AI, embedded, robotics and teaching projects are useful mostly because they made me more comfortable debugging systems and explaining technical decisions.

08 / CONTACT

If the work involves Unity, gameplay or C#, I want to hear about it.
